This method provides a way to
synchronize files, directories and volumes at programmable intervals or specific
dates. The automation rules for Miramar are very flexible and offer a time
resolution up to a minute. Time intervals can be specified for every object
independently, and all backup operations can be applied at the same time. This
allows the software to backup individual files, directories and volumes to
various locations simultaneously and at the same time.
The backup mode contains smart
error control mechanisms that will identify and log uncompleted transactions if
a destination location is not available during the schedule slice. The backup
will resume all operations previously unavailable during the next programmed
interval. For further control a notification can be sent to the administrator
to indicate when some operations did not complete successfully.
